Turkmen Delegation Participates in Canton Fair to Strengthen Trade Ties with China
Representatives from the agency “Turkmendenizderyayollary” recently visited Guangzhou, China, from October 15 to 20, to participate in the highly anticipated Canton Fair. The event, held every two years, brings together business and industry representatives from across the globe and serves as a platform for international trade and commerce.
During their visit, the Turkmen delegation engaged in numerous meetings and negotiations with Chinese companies. The primary objective was to explore local proposals and enhance trade, economic, and transport cooperation between the two nations. These efforts aimed to boost the shipbuilding industry in Turkmenistan.
Among the companies that the delegation interacted with, “TIANJIN MINMETALS CO.,LTD” caught their attention. It is a certified classification society for welding electrodes and wire production. Additionally, talks were held with “TIANJIN GOLDEN BRIDGE WELDING MATERIALS GROUP CO.,LTD.,” “BMM SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY,” and “THREE WAY GROUP EXHAUST,” which specialize in producing catalytic converters to reduce air pollutants from marine engines. Discussions were also held with “CANGZHOU XINDINGLI COLD BENDING MACHINERY CO.,LTD,” which manufactures slate equipment for sea containers, and “ZHENGZHOU CITY UNITS STEEL INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD” and “SHANDONG ZHONGSHENG MATERIALS CO.,LTD,” which produce slate materials.
The Turkmen delegation viewed this visit as an opportunity to study the Chinese market, learn about its unique features, and explore technological innovations. The deepening economic ties between China and Turkmenistan have underscored the importance of the logistics sector. As a world leader in manufacturing, China consistently seeks efficient routes to export its products.
The partnership between China and Turkmenistan in logistics and transport not only bolsters the development of both nations but also strengthens trade ties across the regions. With the increasing collaboration, a rise in the transit of goods through the port of Turkmenbashi is expected.
