Turkmengeology Specialists Conduct Prospecting Work to Identify Drinking Water Deposits
Specialists from the State Corporation “Turkmengeology” are currently engaged in prospecting work to discover potential deposits of drinking water in various regions of the country. Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov shared this information during a recent Cabinet meeting, highlighting the use of modern technologies and equipment in groundwater exploration.
The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, recognized the significance of the hydrogeologists’ tasks in locating drinking water deposits. He emphasized the importance of scientific support for this activity and advocated for the enhancement of its material and technical aspects.
Water-related issues were also a focal point in the report presented by Tangriguly Atahalliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers. He provided an overview of the measures being taken to create additional water reserves in reservoirs, specifically for the purpose of irrigating crops.
This concerted effort to address the country’s water resources has been a priority for the Turkmen government, underscoring the importance of sustainable access to clean drinking water for all citizens.
