Turkmen Diplomats Emphasize the Value of Peace in Global Relations
At the recent international conference “Magtymguly’s Concept of Peace is the basis of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy,” Dmitry Shlapachenko, UN Permanent Coordinator in Turkmenistan, highlighted the crucial role of Turkmen diplomats in promoting peace and multilateralism on a global scale.
Shlapachenko praised Turkmenistan’s initiatives such as the establishment of a Regional Center for Climate Change Technologies in Central Asia and the development of a Global Zero Emissions Strategy, demonstrating the country’s commitment to tackling pressing global challenges.
Expressing concern about the current state of the world, Shlapachenko emphasized the urgent need for international cooperation, stating, “I have never seen the world in such great danger in more than 25 years of my work in the field of international relations.” He underlined Turkmenistan’s dedication to neutrality and international dialogue as a source of hope in these challenging times.
