Turkmenistan and FAO Discuss Interaction Issues in Rome
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome recently hosted a meeting between Toyly Komekov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic, and Serge Nakuzi, head of the FAO Human Resources Department.
During the meeting, Toyly Komekov praised the work of the organization and expressed Turkmenistan’s interest in strengthening cooperation with FAO to leverage global best practices in sustainable agriculture development and food security.
A key point of discussion was the possibility of providing internships for individuals from Turkmenistan in various areas of FAO, as well as offering training programs to develop skilled professionals in agriculture, climate change, water management, and desertification control.
This collaboration between Turkmenistan and FAO highlights a shared commitment to advancing agricultural practices and ensuring food security in the region.
