Turkmenistan and Great Britain Explore Education Partnership Expansion
An online meeting was held on January 16, 2025, between Coventry University representatives and education stakeholders in Turkmenistan. The meeting included participants from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi, and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Turkmenistan, Stephen Conlon.
The existing partnership between Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom in education was praised during the meeting, with discussions focused on potential areas for expanding cooperation. The parties highlighted the importance of student exchanges, joint research initiatives, and educational programs in deepening their collaboration.
Christopher Tagg, Deputy Director for Business Development at Coventry University, presented the institution’s international engagement strategy, shared success stories of current partnerships, and suggested innovative ways to enhance ties with educational institutions in Turkmenistan.
The dialogue between the participants reaffirmed their dedication to advancing mutual educational goals, emphasizing the commitment of both sides to promoting collaboration in the field of education.
