Turkmenistan and United States Forge Education Partnership
A meeting took place at the Ministry of Education in Turkmenistan between the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan and the U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Elizabeth Rood.
The discussion during the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States in the field of education, which plays a crucial role in the bilateral relationship. Both parties highlighted the importance of ongoing efforts to improve educational programs, upgrade the skills of teachers, and expand academic exchanges between educational institutions in both countries.
The Turkmen side emphasized the significance of the year 2025, which is designated as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” and also marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality status as recognized in UN resolutions.
The U.S. Ambassador expressed a willingness to support educational initiatives and underscored the importance of deepening the partnership to introduce modern educational methods, enhance English language proficiency, and provide new opportunities for students and educators.
Mutual interest was expressed by both sides in further strengthening bilateral cooperation and broadening the educational partnership, which will contribute to the development of human capital and foster academic collaboration between Turkmenistan and the United States.
