
Turkmenistan Embassy in China Hosts Trade and Investment Forum

The International Trade and Investment Conference themed “New 2025 and New Opportunities” was successfully organized by Beijing Huahe International Business Consulting Co., Ltd. on January 15, 2025, at the Grand Metropark Hotel Beijing in Beijing.
A diverse range of attendees, including heads and representatives of diplomatic corps, international organizations, business associations, institutions, and companies accredited in China, gathered for the event. Notable figures such as the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, P. Durdyev, Trade Representative Sh. Batyrov, and leaders of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan were among the participants.
The conference was preceded by an exhibition showcasing trade, investment, and service projects, providing guests with insights into ongoing and upcoming initiatives in these sectors. Additionally, a meeting of the Silk Road Economic Alliance was held, facilitating discussions among business representatives.
Speakers highlighted the pivotal role of Beijing Huahe International Business Consulting Co., Ltd., the Silk Road Economic Alliance, and the China-SCO Institute of Economic and Trade in fostering collaboration between China and foreign nations across various domains.
Ambassador Parahat Durdyev of Turkmenistan discussed significant events from 2024, specifically the commemoration of the 300th birth anniversary of poet Magtymguly Fragi and the publication of his poetry collection in Chinese. He also drew attention to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s new book, emphasizing Turkmenistan’s upcoming 30th anniversary of Neutrality celebrations and the country’s initiative “Dialogue – Guarantee of Peace.”
The Ambassador shed light on Turkmenistan’s economic landscape, highlighting trade and investment opportunities as well as projects by specialized organizations. He encouraged participants to explore the favorable investment climate in Turkmenistan and engage with Chinese companies to leverage market prospects.
Begench Arazov, a representative of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, showcased the Union’s capabilities, underscoring the active involvement of private entrepreneurs in collaborative endeavors. Arazov emphasized the production of high-quality products by Union members and called for collaboration with business entities engaged in import-export activities.
The conference agenda includes visits to Shandong, Hebei, and Henan provinces until January 17 for guests to explore local companies’ capacities. This initiative aligns with the Ministries and administrative departments’ schedule of events for 2025, aiming to forge partnerships and foster economic growth.
Overall, the International Trade and Investment Conference served as a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration, setting the stage for enhanced cooperation between China and Turkmenistan in the evolving global landscape.
