The international conference “Main directions and potential for tourism development in Turkmenistan” is set to take place on March 27-28. Deputy Prime Minister Myahrijemal Mammedova announced the details of the forum program during a government meeting on Friday.

Leaders and representatives from specialized international organizations, prominent tourism associations, and companies from various countries have been invited to participate in the conference. Foreign delegates will have the opportunity to explore the city of Arkadag, its unique historical and cultural landmarks, museums, and overall tourism potential in Turkmenistan.

In addition to the conference, guests will also be part of the grand inauguration of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024, with festivities commencing on March 26.

Alongside the main events, business forums, workshops, and bilateral meetings are scheduled to take place during the tourism conference. The expectation is that contracts and cooperation agreements will be established among industry players.

The conference aims to highlight Turkmenistan’s tourism industry and its potential for growth and collaboration on an international scale.
