Turkmenistan helps form tourism alliance in Central Asia and Xinjiang
Representatives from travel agencies in Turkmenistan have signed an agreement to establish the Xinjiang Alliance for Cooperation in Tourism in Central Asia. The alliance aims to explore the tourism resources of its members and their expertise in managing the industry. The signing ceremony took place at a conference focused on the development of tourism in China’s western autonomous region of Xinjiang. During the event, multimillion-dollar contracts were signed between various business structures and state-owned enterprises. The main tourist units of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan also attended the conference. The agreement states that the parties will evaluate tourism resources, review the tourism market, forecast development indices, and facilitate exchanges between member units in the tourism industry. They will also stimulate national exchanges between them to further foster cooperation.
