Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Joins Victory Parade in Moscow
Turkmenistan’s President, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, was among the world leaders who attended the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow. Before the start of the parade, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the foreign leaders attending the celebrations met in the Armorial Hall of the Kremlin.
Leaders from various countries, including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the Armenian Prime Minister, also arrived at the Kremlin.
President Putin delivered a speech at the parade, expressing his gratitude to all the peoples of the former Soviet Union who contributed to the common victory. “It is very important that the leaders of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States have gathered here in Moscow today. I see in this a grateful attitude to the feat of our ancestors: they fought together and won together,” he said.
Berdimuhamedov also highlighted the bravery and heroism of soldiers from Turkmenistan alongside the representatives of other fraternal people. “Our brave compatriots, shoulder to shoulder with representatives of fraternal peoples, showed unparalleled valor, steadfastness and genuine heroism on the fields of the most fierce battle of the 20th century in the name of a peaceful and free life.”
After the end of the military parade, Putin, together with the foreign leaders, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden.
The participation of President Berdimuhamedov and other leaders in the Victory Parade highlights the significance of the event in commemorating the sacrifices and efforts of all involved in the victory over Nazi Germany.
