Turkmenistan has announced its intention to send medical supplies, food, and doctors to Turgundi, a village in the Afghan province of Herat. The orders for this humanitarian campaign were signed by Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the President of Turkmenistan.
The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Textile Industry, and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan have been assigned responsibility for the implementation of the task. They will oversee the transfer of goods and deployment of specialists to Turgundi in May.
