Two Talented Turkmen Jewelers Shine at International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry

Jeweler Govher Nuryeva and designer Jennet Garlyeva, both hailing from Turkmenistan, recently wowed audiences at the second International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.

Nuryeva showcased her exquisite jewelry creations to festival guests, while Garlyeva presented her stunning clothing collection, which was created in collaboration with silk manufacturer Aziz Murtazaev from Uzbekistan.

The International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry serves as a platform to recognize the talents of skilled craftsmen in the field, as well as to protect and revitalize endangered and unique works of art.

A total of 157 artisans and guests from 42 foreign countries, along with 280 artisans from various regions of Uzbekistan, participated in this year’s festival. The event also featured exhibitions, musical and theatrical performances, and a scientific and practical conference centered on the theme “Prospects for the development of traditional gold embroidery and jewelry art.”

The festival not only celebrates the rich cultural heritage of gold embroidery and jewelry but also provides a space for artisans to come together, share their expertise, and inspire the next generation of craftsmen.
