Two Airlines Granted Regular Flight Approval to Uzbekistan

Red Sea Airlines from Egypt and T’way Air from South Korea are set to launch regular flights to Tashkent, following approval from the Uzaviation Agency.

Under the intergovernmental air services agreement between the two countries, the agency granted permission on February 4 for Red Sea Airlines to operate regular flights on the Sharm El-Sheikh – Tashkent – Sharm El-Sheikh route. These flights will be carried out using Boeing 737 aircraft.

In addition, T’way Air has also been given the green light to operate regular flights to Uzbekistan. The agency approved T’way Air on February 3 to operate flights on the Seoul – Tashkent – Seoul route, utilizing Airbus A330 aircraft.

This development comes after the Uzaviation Agency previously granted AirAsia X Berhad approval to operate regular flights on the Kuala Lumpur–Tashkent–Kuala Lumpur route, in accordance with the intergovernmental air services agreement between Uzbekistan and Malaysia.

With these approvals in place, travelers can look forward to increased connectivity between Uzbekistan and these countries, providing more options for air travel to and from Tashkent.
