Two Injured in Car Collision with Locomotive in Kara-Balta
Bishkek – On July 29, 2024, a road accident involving a locomotive occurred in Kara-Balta city at the intersection of Kozhomberdiyev and Frunze streets at a railroad crossing, as reported by the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Chui region.
According to the report, a local resident, aged 37, was driving an Audi S4 along Frunze Street in a western direction when he drove through a railroad crossing closed by a barrier and collided with a locomotive.
The driver of the Audi S4 and his passenger, also aged 37, were both taken to the territorial hospital with various bodily injuries.
Forensic examinations have been initiated to determine the cause of the accident, and authorities are currently conducting a pre-investigation check to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
