Two Injured in Truck Accident in Eskişehir
A frightening accident occurred in Eskişehir when two trucks went out of control and fell from a bridge intersection, resulting in two people being injured. The incident took place at the 11th kilometer of the Eskişehir-Bursa highway.
The TIR loaded with refrigerators, driven by Ramazan Sarıçam (62), and the truck loaded with beets, driven by Süleyman Kurt (32), lost control and crashed through the barriers before falling approximately 12 meters from the bridge junction. Both drivers sustained injuries as a result of the accident.
Upon receiving the alert, emergency health, police, and gendarmerie teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. The injured individuals were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care, where they remain in critical condition.
Highways maintenance crews worked to clear the scattered beets from the road caused by the accident, and the trucks were towed away from the site. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the incident.
