Baku, July 17 – Typhoon Talim, the fourth typhoon of the year, is expected to make landfall in coastal areas between Dianbai in Guangdong and Wenchang in Hainan on Monday night, according to Xinhua. The typhoon is set to bring strong winds and rainstorms to coastal regions in southern China.

The National Meteorological Center has issued a statement saying that strong winds are expected to hit parts of the South China Sea, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan from 2 p.m. Monday to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Additionally, rainstorms are forecasted to lash parts of Guangdong, Hainan, and Guangxi during this period.

In response to the impending typhoon, the center has renewed its orange alert, which is the second-highest alert level. The China Meteorological Administration has also raised its emergency response level for typhoons to Level III.
