Ucell Fined for Misleading Advertising by Competition Committee

The Competition Committee has recently fined COSCOM LLC, known for its Ucell brand, for breaching advertising laws. The telecom company was accused of using “exaggerated” language in its advertisements, as stated in a press release from the agency.

According to representatives of the regulatory body, the advertising materials of the mobile operator were found to contain wording that was considered “exaggerated or misleading.” As a result, a special commission launched an investigation into COSCOM LLC for violating the stipulations of the “Advertising Law.” Subsequently, a decision was reached to levy a financial penalty on the company.

In addition to the fine, the operator has been directed to rectify the identified infractions and take measures to prevent similar violations in the future. If COSCOM LLC disagrees with the ruling, it has the option to appeal to the Committee’s appellate council or seek recourse through the court system, as outlined by the agency.

The case serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to advertising regulations and maintaining transparency in marketing practices within the telecommunications sector. By upholding the standards set forth by the law, companies can build trust with consumers and contribute to a fair marketplace.
