Unstable Weather Expected in Kyrgyzstan

The Ministry of Emergency Situations in Kyrgyzstan has issued a warning about unstable weather conditions expected in the country. According to the press service of the Ministry, local heavy rains are possible across the republic from June 24 to June 25, with the potential for mudflows in mountainous and foothill areas.
In addition, water levels in rivers are expected to rise as a result of the heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms are predicted in most regions on June 24, with snow expected in high mountain areas. The Ministry of Emergency Situations also highlighted the likelihood of heavy rains in some districts of Chui, Osh, and Jalal-Abad regions.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution, as roads in mountainous areas may become uneven and slippery due to the weather conditions. Wind speeds could reach 4-9 meters per second, and in some areas, speeds may reach up to 15-20 meters per second.
