School Bus Overturns on TEM Highway, Students and Staff Slightly Injured
A school bus traveling in the direction of Edirne in the Sarıyer Seyrantepe area of the TEM Highway crashed into the barrier and overturned after its driver lost control of the steering wheel. The driver allegedly lost control after being hit from behind by a light commercial vehicle.
Fortunately, the students on the bus and the stewardess sustained only minor injuries in the accident. However, the incident led to traffic congestion on the highway. Emergency response teams are currently working in the area to manage the situation.
Eyewitness Oktay Kaya recounted the event, stating, “The driver appears to have lost control of the bus when attempting to maneuver to the right after being cut off by another vehicle. Thankfully, the children on board are safe, with only minor injuries reported for the stewardess. The authorities are currently working to remove the overturned bus from the scene.”
