Update to Family Medicine Circular from Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health has announced a revision in the consultation procedures for the transition to family medicine. In a statement released by the Ministry, it was revealed that family physicians appointed under state service obligations will now have the freedom to choose family medicine units based on the level of socioeconomic development in the district. With this new regulation, family physicians will be able to prefer family medicine units in the same province without any limitations, according to the service score of vacant units.
Furthermore, midwives and nurses working under the 45/A status, also known as 3+1 contracted, were previously not able to work in contracted units in family medicine. However, with the recent arrangement, they are now included in the scope of family medicine units.
The statement also mentioned that contracted family physicians will be able to enter into new contracts within the framework of a new placement when their current contract is not renewed, terminated, or ends spontaneously. This allows them the opportunity to continue their service within the family medicine units after a minimum of 2 years have passed since their previous contract ended.
These new regulations aim to improve the efficiency and accessibility of family medicine services across provinces, providing better healthcare options for the public.
