US Imposes Election Sanctions on Russian Media Outlets

The US has recently imposed sanctions on several Russia-based news and media outlets, as well as individuals, accusing them of spreading disinformation ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Among those targeted are 10 people, including employees of RT, formerly known as Russia Today. The US government alleges that these Russia-based outlets have been trying to influence US voters through their dissemination of false information.
