Uzbek Ambassador Concludes Diplomatic Service in Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov Honors Outgoing Uzbek Ambassador
On June 14, 2024, President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan met with Khurshid Mirzahidov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan, to mark the completion of his diplomatic mission. The meeting was held to acknowledge the successful bilateral cooperation between the two countries during Mirzahidov’s tenure.
During the meeting, President Japarov highlighted the significant progress made in bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan under Mirzahidov’s leadership. Several important agreements were signed, including the creation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund and the successful completion of the delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border. The two countries have elevated their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership and have expanded cooperation in various sectors, particularly in joint industrial projects.
President Japarov commended the efforts of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his role in strengthening ties between the two nations. Ambassador Mirzahidov expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and praised the development of Kyrgyzstan under President Japarov’s leadership in all areas.
In recognition of his contributions, President Japarov presented Mirzahidov with a Certificate of Honor from the Kyrgyz Republic for his significant efforts in promoting friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
The meeting between President Japarov and Ambassador Mirzahidov underscored the close partnership between the two countries and highlighted the importance of diplomatic relations in advancing mutual interests and enhancing regional stability.
