Uzbek diplomats in Netherlands meet with fellow citizens

Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Benelux countries recently met with a group of Uzbek citizens working in the construction industry in the Dutch city of Utrecht. During the meeting, the diplomats discussed the efforts made by the Uzbek government to support their citizens working abroad and ensure their legal protection.
One of the main topics of discussion was the cooperation between Uzbekistan and EU countries in expanding legal migration channels. The diplomats also emphasized the importance of Uzbek labor migrants adhering to the rules and regulations of their host country, particularly in the Netherlands. They also addressed the need for employers to provide decent living conditions for Uzbek workers.
At the end of the meeting, the Uzbek citizens requested the diplomats to convey their message to relevant ministries and departments regarding the admission of the Turkish budget airline, Pegasus Airlines, to the Uzbekistan market. The citizens expressed their reliance on the airline’s services for their travels between Uzbekistan and Bishkek, with a majority of the airline’s clients being Uzbek citizens.
Additionally, during the meeting, 14 newly arrived citizens of Uzbekistan were taken into temporary consular registration at the Embassy. This initiative aims to provide support and assistance to Uzbek citizens living and working in the Netherlands.
Overall, the meeting served as an important platform for Uzbek citizens working in the construction industry in Utrecht to interact with diplomats, discuss relevant issues, and seek assistance from their Embassy.
