Uzbek-Egyptian Political Consultations to be Hosted in Tashkent
Ambassador Mansurbek Kilichev of Uzbekistan recently met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Ahmed Shahin, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on organizing visits and events that would strengthen the bilateral relationship.
One key area of discussion was the potential for interregional cooperation and trade and investment interaction. It was noted that there are opportunities for industrial cooperation in Egypt’s free economic zones, as well as joint production in various sectors such as textiles, household and agricultural equipment, mineral fertilizers, with the possibility of exporting to African and European markets.
The discussions also covered expanding cooperation in agriculture, including cotton growing, livestock breeding, and other related fields. The importance of cooperation in literature and art was also highlighted during the meeting.
To further delve into these areas of cooperation, it was decided that the 11th round of political consultations and the Uzbek-Egyptian business forum will be held in Tashkent in September. This event aims to bring together representatives from both countries to explore opportunities for collaboration and strengthen ties between Uzbekistan and Egypt.
