Uzbek Investors to Build Textile Factory in Kyrgyzstan
In a recent development, Uzbek investors have announced plans to construct a large textile factory in Aral village, Nooken district of Kyrgyzstan. This initiative was confirmed by the press service of the office of Presidential Envoy to Jalal-Abad region.
Reports indicate that the head of the region, Absattar Syrgabaev, held a meeting with the investors to discuss the construction of the industrial facility. The district administration of Nooken has already signed a tripartite agreement with Uzbek companies Art Soft Holding and SASSA GROUP.
As per the agreement, construction of the factory is set to commence in December of 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. Local authorities have designated 20 hectares of land for the construction, and the total cost of the project is estimated at $31 million. It is anticipated that the factory will create over 1,000 job opportunities.
Furthermore, efforts will be made to ensure that the textile factory is equipped to produce cotton fabrics and finished products. This new development is expected to significantly contribute to the economic growth of the region, providing employment opportunities and boosting the textile industry.
