Uzbek Judoka Diyora Keldiyorova Takes 5th Grand Slam Win
The Uzbekistan national judo team had a fantastic start to the Baku Grand Slam tournament with Diyora Keldiyorova winning a gold medal in the up to 52 kg weight category. Keldiyorova secured her victory by defeating two-time Olympic medalist Odetta Giufrida from Italy in the final match.
This impressive win marks Keldiyorova’s fifth gold medal at a Grand Slam competition. In addition to her success on the mat, she also earned 1,000 points towards her world and Paris 2024 rankings. As a result of this victory, Keldiyorova is set to become the leader of the world rankings next week.
