Uzbek Military Personnel Face Off Against U.S. National Guard Special Units at Camp Shelby
Uzbek and U.S. Military Personnel Compete in “Best Warrior-2025” Competition
Military personnel from Uzbekistan and the United States recently faced off in the “Best Warrior-2025” competition held at the Camp Shelby military training base in Mississippi. The event, which took place from March 17 to March 20, saw participants from both countries undergo a series of challenging tasks to test their skills and endurance.
Representing the Uzbekistan Ministry of Defense were Junior Sergeant Alishokh Abdullaev and Third-Class Sergeant Shokhrukh Jovqashev, who took part in the competition alongside members of the U.S. National Guard Special Units. The rigorous challenges included navigating obstacle courses, completing a 20-kilometer march with heavy loads, writing essays, disassembling and firing U.S.-standard firearms under various conditions, and more.
According to the Ministry of Defense’s press service, the competition was organized to strengthen international military cooperation and enhance the prestige of serving in special units. The Uzbek military personnel competed head-to-head with their American counterparts, pushing themselves to their limits in various physical and mental tasks.
Throughout the competition, the Uzbek team set new records in several events. They completed a 20-kilometer march with a 15-kilogram load in just 1 hour and 50 minutes, demonstrating their strength and endurance. Individual achievements included covering a 3,219-meter distance in 11 minutes and 18 seconds, completing complex exercises in record time, and excelling in tasks such as artillery fire coordination and medical training.
At the conclusion of the event, the Uzbek military personnel were recognized for their outstanding performance and awarded a special prize. The “Best Warrior-2025” competition served as a platform for both countries to showcase their skills, foster camaraderie, and further strengthen international military cooperation.
