Uzbek Professionals Training for Employment Opportunities in Germany
Uzbekistan Strengthens Economic Ties with Germany Through Strategic Partnerships
Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, recently held important discussions in Berlin with key German officials, signaling a deepening of economic cooperation between the two countries. The meetings, which included Steffen Meyer, Economic, Financial, and Climate Policy Advisor to the Federal Chancellor, and Nils Annen, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, focused on enhancing collaboration in various sectors.
One of the key outcomes of the talks was an agreement to provide Uzbek specialists with advanced training programs in Germany, paving the way for potential employment opportunities within German companies. This partnership aims to boost skills in areas such as modernization, innovation, and trade, aligning with the labor market needs of both nations.
In addition to workforce development, the parties also discussed providing preferential financing for the modernization of Uzbekistan’s vocational education and healthcare systems, supporting vulnerable populations, environmental protection, and improving water supply infrastructure. Agreements were also reached on sovereign and non-sovereign financing for projects in export, corporate development, and trade.
The discussions also focused on the implementation of joint projects that had been agreed upon during previous high-level meetings between Uzbekistan and Germany. These projects span various sectors including the chemical industry, geology, medical equipment, solar panel components, construction materials, and carbon fiber production. The establishment of modern logistics centers was also highlighted as a priority.
Both parties expressed their commitment to expediting the implementation of these projects through comprehensive measures. Dedicated investment managers will be assigned to each German company involved, and a new working algorithm has been set up to facilitate regular virtual negotiations between Uzbekistan’s embassy in Germany, the Chancellor’s office, and the Eastern Committee of German Business to monitor progress and address any challenges promptly.
The strengthened partnership between Uzbekistan and Germany underscores the mutual commitment to fostering economic growth, innovation, and cooperation between the two nations. As they move forward with these joint initiatives, both countries are poised to benefit from the exchange of expertise, technology, and investment opportunities.
