Uzbek Woman’s Tragic Suicide in Indian Hospital
A tragic incident occurred on June 11 at a private hospital in India, as reported by the Deccan Herald. A 45-year-old woman from Uzbekistan named Zulfiya committed suicide in the bathroom of the hospital located in the city of Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh. Zulfiya had been admitted to the hospital for a liver transplant on May 25 and was said to be recovering well, with plans for discharge in just two days.
The woman’s husband and son were directly involved in the transplant procedure, with her husband acting as the donor. However, on the fateful day, Zulfiya went into the bathroom of her room and did not emerge for a prolonged period. Her husband raised the alarm, prompting hospital staff to investigate. Tragically, Zulfiya was discovered hanging from a towel rack in the bathroom.
Authorities are currently conducting an examination of the body, with forensic experts analyzing the scene of the incident. The Assistant Commissioner of Police has confirmed the details of the case and has assured that a thorough investigation is underway. This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder of the importance of mental health support and awareness, especially for individuals going through challenging medical procedures.
