Uzbekistan and China Collaborate on Railway Transportation

Temiryulkargo and Jiayou International Sign Cooperation Agreement to Increase Transportation along China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Route
The state-owned company Temiryulkargo has announced its intention to expand cooperation with Chinese partners in order to increase transportation along the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan route. This comes after a recent working visit to Beijing by a delegation from a subsidiary of Uzbekistan Railways and the Ministry of Transport.
During the visit, the delegation met with the chairman of the Chinese company Jiayou International, Meng Liang, to discuss issues related to increasing multimodal transport along the route, as well as the introduction of digital solutions in the management of warehouses and logistics centers. As a result of the meeting, Temiryulkargo and Jiayou International have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
In recent years, China has become Uzbekistan’s main trading partner, and both countries are constantly seeking new transport routes and corridors to increase the supply of goods. One recent development in this effort is the launch of road transportation of goods through Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan by the Zhengzhou Hongyi Transportation company. The trial truck covered the 6,500 km route in seven days, which is three times faster than the main routes currently used.
Furthermore, work on the railway project between the three countries has intensified, with construction of the line expected to begin before the end of the year according to Kyrgyz officials.
The cooperation between Temiryulkargo and Jiayou International signals a commitment to further develop transportation infrastructure and connectivity along the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan route, which will undoubtedly facilitate trade and economic cooperation between the countries.
