
Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Collaborate on Expanding Multifaceted Cooperation

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev recently met with a government delegation from Kazakhstan, led by Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov. The meeting focused on further expanding cooperation between the two countries in various areas.
President Mirziyoyev congratulated Prime Minister Bektenov on his recent appointment and expressed his best wishes for his future endeavors. In return, Prime Minister Bektenov conveyed greetings from the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to President Mirziyoyev.
The discussion during the meeting revolved around forming a new agenda for practical collaboration in preparation for upcoming joint events at the highest level. Both parties stressed the importance of increasing mutual trade turnover and agreed to take coordinated measures to achieve this goal through the activities of a working group led by authorized ministers.
Moreover, there was a focus on deepening cooperation in key areas such as industry, transport, and logistics, which play a crucial role in the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. It was highlighted that promoting new investment programs in priority sectors and regional infrastructure projects in transport and energy is essential for mutual growth and development.
President Mirziyoyev underscored the significance of maintaining close and systematic communication at the government level to significantly enhance mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to strengthen their partnership and explore new avenues for collaboration in the future.
