Uzbekistan and Kuwait Strengthen Partnership Relations

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, recently concluded talks in Kuwait City with a focus on enhancing the comprehensive partnership relations between the two countries.

During the discussions, both leaders agreed to establish new mechanisms, such as an Investment Platform and a Business Council, aimed at boosting economic cooperation. Additionally, a trade house will be opened in Kuwait City to further facilitate trade between the two nations. The parties also discussed expanding the project portfolio with the Kuwait Arab Economic Development Fund as part of a new Partnership Program.

Cultural and tourism cooperation were also key points of discussion, with plans to organize cultural and tourism weeks, support participation in cultural and humanitarian events, and promote collaboration in various sectors such as art, music, cinema, education, and sports.

At the conclusion of the meeting, multiple agreements were signed, including cooperation agreements in the industrial, labor, and healthcare sectors, as well as in building “smart” cities. A program of measures for the tourism sector for the years 2025-2027 was also established, along with a cooperation agreement with the Kuwait Arab Economic Development Fund.

The discussions and agreements reached during the talks reflect the commitment of Uzbekistan and Kuwait to strengthening their partnership relations and fostering collaboration in various fields for mutual benefit.
