Uzbekistan and Kuwait Strengthen Ties Through MoU and Joint Investments
During his visit to Kuwait, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, participated in important discussions to boost cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kuwait. Saidov met with Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, and the Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority, Ghanem Suleiman Al Ghenaiman, in a series of high-level meetings.
In discussions with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, the two ministers touched on various topics on their bilateral agenda, emphasizing the huge potential for Uzbekistan-Kuwait relations. Saidov stressed the significance of advancing economic relations, improving regional connectivity, promoting regular exchanges, establishing a solid legal framework, enhancing people-to-people diplomacy, and strengthening human resources. To solidify these ties, the two foreign ministries signed a Memorandum of Understanding, focusing on cooperation between diplomatic institutions.
During a separate meeting with Ghanem Suleiman Al-Ghenaiman, the focus was on identifying promising areas for joint ventures. Saidov highlighted the discussions on launching mutually beneficial projects, utilizing global expertise, and integrating the latest innovations and knowledge into these initiatives.
The Uzbek delegation’s visit to Kuwait also involves a series of bilateral negotiations, meetings with prominent entrepreneurs, and participation in a joint business forum, all aimed at further enhancing the economic and diplomatic bonds between the two nations. This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening the partnership between Uzbekistan and Kuwait and exploring opportunities for collaboration in various fields.
