Uzbekistan and Malaysia Forge New Partnerships in Higher Education and Science
A recent meeting between high-level delegations from Uzbekistan and Malaysia has paved the way for enhanced cooperation in higher education, science, and innovation. The Uzbek delegation, led by Adham Khudaykulov and Otabek Makhkamov, met with Malaysian officials in Kuala Lumpur to discuss opportunities for collaboration in these key areas.
Supported by Uzbekistan’s embassy, the discussions included meetings with Malaysia’s Minister of Higher Education, Zambry bin Abdul Kadir, and Deputy Minister, Azlinda Azman. The primary focus of the talks was on deepening ties between the two countries, particularly in higher education and scientific innovation.
During the meetings, the Uzbek delegation provided an overview of the recent reforms implemented in Uzbekistan, highlighting progress in higher education and science. Both sides shared insights on potential projects with Malaysian universities, known for their excellence in higher education on a global scale.
The discussions culminated in several important agreements, including plans for a visit by Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education to Uzbekistan, the establishment of a consortium to promote collaboration between universities, and the expansion of exchange programs for professors, teachers, and students.
