Uzbekistan and South Korea collaborate on visa rules and seasonal work opportunities
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Olimjon Abdullayev, recently met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Won Do-yeon, on April 17th. The meeting, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, centered around enhancing bilateral cooperation in labor migration and simplifying visa procedures for Uzbek citizens.
The discussions primarily focused on training highly skilled professionals for the South Korean labor market, collaborating on educational programs, and introducing new initiatives for pre-departure training. Of particular importance was the streamlining of visa procedures, with a specific emphasis on exploring opportunities for seasonal workers from Uzbekistan.
Both parties have agreed to continue their efforts to improve conditions for Uzbek citizens working in the Republic of Korea. The aim is to create a more conducive environment for Uzbek workers and facilitate their employment in the Korean labor market. This ongoing collaboration signals a commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries and fostering mutual benefits in the field of labor migration.
