Uzbekistan and South Korea Foreign Ministers Meet in Seoul to Discuss Upcoming Events
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, recently met with the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Cho Tae-yul, in Seoul. The meeting, which took place yesterday, aimed to strengthen the special strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea.
“We are glad to meet Minister Cho Tae-yul today in Seoul. We had a fruitful conversation with an extensive agenda focused on the further expansion of the Uzbek-South Korean special strategic partnership relations, and discussed upcoming contacts at the highest levels. The foreign policy departments of the two countries will continue intensive cooperation within the framework of the Strategic Dialogue format established last year,” the FM of Uzbekistan shared on his Telegram channel.
It is worth noting that Minister Cho Tae-yul assumed office on January 12, 2024. The meeting between the two foreign ministers comes after Minister Saidov’s official visit to Vietnam, which concluded on March 19.
The discussions held between Minister Saidov and Minister Cho Tae-yul underscore the commitment of both countries to strengthen their bilateral relations and enhance cooperation in various areas. The meeting is expected to pave the way for future collaborations and exchanges between Uzbekistan and South Korea.
