
Uzbekistan and UK Collaborate on Humanitarian Aid for Afghanistan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan recently held meetings with a delegation from the UK Foreign Office, led by Nicola Righini, the Head of External and Multilateral Relations at the Afghanistan Department.
The discussions primarily centered around international cooperation in providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan and supporting the country’s economic recovery. Uzbekistan’s foreign policy towards Afghanistan and its efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region were also a key focus of the talks.
The UK Foreign Office representatives recognized that both London and Tashkent share a common vision and similar approaches to establishing long-term peace in Afghanistan. It was agreed that constructive interactions on Afghan issues will continue, and efforts of the international community will be consolidated to normalize the situation in the neighboring country.
