New Uzbek Ambassador to Russia Discusses Cooperation on Labor Migration and Citizen Rights in Primorsky Krai
After assuming his duties, Uzbek Ambassador Kabuljanov recently met with the Commissioner for Human Rights in Primorsky Krai, Yuri Melnikov, as well as the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region. The discussions focused on the current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration and the protection of the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens temporarily residing in the Primorsky Krai.
One of the key topics of the meetings was the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation to address the conditions of Uzbek citizens in Russia and instances of rights violations. Both parties agreed to conduct explanatory and preventive work in all investigative units of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs to ensure the rights of Uzbek citizens are protected. Additionally, regular events will be held involving citizens of Uzbekistan to inform them about the latest innovations and changes in Russian migration legislation.
The discussions between Kabuljanov and the officials in Primorsky Krai signify a commitment to upholding the rights of Uzbek citizens in the region and working towards a strong partnership in labor migration.
