The Civil Aviation Agency of Uzbekistan Refutes Reports of New Airline Establishment
In a recent statement, the Civil Aviation Agency, which operates under the Ministry of Transport in Uzbekistan, has refuted media reports regarding the establishment of a new airline called GAB Airlines in the country. The agency clarified that the information circulating about the new airline’s creation and its plans to operate flights using Airbus A320 and Airbus A330 aircraft is inaccurate.
According to the statement, any legal entity that intends to operate aircraft in civil aviation in Uzbekistan must first obtain an operator certificate from the Uzaviation agency. Only after obtaining this certificate can an organization be granted the status of an airline and the right to provide air transport services.
The statement highlighted that the organization claiming to be GAB Airlines has not yet submitted an application to the Uzaviation agency for the aircraft operator certificate. Furthermore, there have been no documents provided regarding the purchase or lease of any aircraft for the supposed airline.
It is important to adhere to the Air Code of Uzbekistan and follow the requirements for licensing, permitting, and notification procedures in order to operate in the civil aviation sector. Without the necessary approvals and certifications, any claims of establishing a new airline in Uzbekistan remain unsubstantiated.
As of now, the Civil Aviation Agency has made it clear that no new airline by the name of GAB Airlines has been officially recognized or approved in Uzbekistan.
