Uzbekistan Consulate Repatriates Unattended Children from Kazakhstan
With the help of the Consulate General in Almaty, minors who were left unattended in Kazakhstan for various reasons have been successfully returned to Uzbekistan.
Thanks to the efforts of the staff at Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Almaty, minors who were in a difficult situation in Kazakhstan have been reunited with their families in their home country. Working in collaboration with the “Center for Supporting Children in Difficult Situations” and the Almaty City Department of Education, the necessary documents were prepared to repatriate 17-year-old I.R., 12-year-old S.R., and 2-year-old M.N. to Uzbekistan.
On August 24th, diplomats from the Consulate General facilitated the safe return of the minors by handing them over to an officer from the Main Directorate for the Prevention of Offenses under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan. The children were then transferred to their close relatives for proper care and support.
This successful repatriation effort highlights the importance of international cooperation in ensuring the well-being and safety of minors in challenging circumstances. The Consulate General in Almaty continues to work diligently to assist Uzbek citizens in difficult situations abroad and provide the necessary support for their return home.
