
Uzbekistan Exports $1.5 Billion in Fruits and Vegetables in 2024, Says Statistics Agency

In 2024, Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector proved to be a significant contributor to its economy, with the country exporting over 2 million tons of fruits and vegetables amounting to $1.5 billion, as reported by the State Statistics Agency. This thriving industry has established key trade partnerships with major countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and China.
According to the data, Russia emerged as the largest importer of Uzbek fruits and vegetables, with 815,100 tons valued at $632.9 million. Kazakhstan followed closely, importing 520,500 tons worth $189.8 million. Other notable buyers included Kyrgyzstan (151,700 tons valued at $57.9 million), China (144,600 tons valued at $128.6 million), Pakistan (124,700 tons valued at $192.3 million), Afghanistan (67,600 tons valued at $124.4 million), Iraq (32,900 tons valued at $13.4 million), Turkey (28,200 tons valued at $48.3 million), and Belarus (22,600 tons valued at $20.3 million). Additionally, an additional 128,500 tons worth $141.7 million were exported to various other countries.
Uzbekistan’s success in the export of fruits and vegetables highlights the country’s potential to continue driving economic growth through its thriving agricultural industry.
