Uzbekistan Takes a Big Step in Futsal Development
Uzbekistan has taken a significant step towards the growth and development of futsal in the country with the official launch of the Uzbekistan Futsal Federation. The inauguration ceremony saw the election of Bekzod Mamatqulov, a well-known entrepreneur and chairman of the supervisory board of BMB Holding, as the president of the federation.
During the ceremony, Abdusalom Azizov, the President of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA), highlighted the need for improvements in the national futsal team’s performance in recent tournaments. He stressed the importance of strengthening the sport’s structure and competitiveness for the future.
The Uzbekistan Futsal Federation, set to commence operations in 2025, has announced its leadership structure with Bekzod Mamatkulov as the President, Aziz Akbarjonov as the Vice President, and Marufjon Abdullaev as the Secretary General.
With the formation of the federation, Uzbekistan is poised to make strides in advancing futsal across the nation. The focus will be on nurturing talent and establishing a solid foundation for achieving success in international competitions in the years to come.
