Uzbekistan Gov’t Offers Top Tax Incentives to UzAuto Motors and Uzbekistan Airways JSC
Uzbekistan’s Tax Committee has reported that in the first four months of 2023, tax concessions worth around 200 billion soums were given to UzAuto Motors JSC. Additionally, Uzbekistan Airways JSC paid 215.1 billion soums in taxes and received 508 billion soums in tax benefits.
These two companies received the most tax concessions during the first four months of the year. Around 74,638 legal entities engaged in production activities paid more than 12.2 trillion soums of tax during this period, with Uzbekneftegaz JSC paying the most tax at 1.51 trillion soums and receiving a tax credit worth 20.9 billion soums.
UzAuto Motors JSC, a car manufacturing company, paid 305.5 billion soums in taxes and was given a tax credit worth 198.6 billion soums. The service sector also paid a significant amount of tax, with 161,543 legal entities paying more than 6.3 trillion soums in taxes. The company that paid the most tax in this sector was Uzbektelecom JSC, which paid 338.6 billion soums and received a tax credit worth 63.9 billion soums.
These figures reflect the ongoing efforts of Uzbekistan’s government and tax officials to support the growth of businesses in the country. By offering tax concessions and credits to companies in various industries, the government aims to encourage further investment and economic growth in the long-term.
