Uzbekistan installs new air monitoring stations.

Zamin Foundation and the Hydrometeorological Service Agency have collaborated to bring six automatic air monitoring stations to Uzbekistan. Two of these stations have been delivered and installed in Jizzakh and Gulistan, and they provide real-time information on weather conditions through a website. Experts are currently setting up and testing the stations before their official operation. Local employees of Uzhydromet are receiving practical training on setting up and utilizing the stations. The president has previously ordered the installation of automated small stations to monitor air pollution in every district and city in the country. With the new monitoring stations, Uzbekistan is taking important steps towards improving air quality and protecting the health of its citizens.
