Uzbekistan to Launch Unified National Tourism Platform in 2025
In an effort to streamline the tourism industry, Uzbekistan will be introducing a Unified National Tourism Platform starting in 2025. This platform will allow users to conveniently book hotels, purchase tours, and buy transport and entry tickets online. The initiative was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, with the official resolution published on Lex.uz.
The Unified National Tourism Platform is designed to centralize services for both domestic and international tourists. Some of the key features that will be offered include online booking of accommodations, car rentals, taxi services, ticket purchases for buses, trains, and flights, as well as entry ticket sales for museums and landmarks. Additionally, users will have access to tour guides, interpreters, travel agencies, and tour operators, with payment integration with national and international systems.
A test launch of the platform is scheduled for September 1, 2025, with a full-scale rollout expected by December 1, 2025. The State Committee for Tourism will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of the platform, including selecting its operator. Funding for the project will be provided by the Tourism Support Fund.
To make the platform more accessible to a wider audience, it will support 14 foreign languages and integrate with systems such as Uztrans, Uzbekistan Railways, Uzbekistan Airways, and other transport providers.
This initiative stems from a directive issued by the president in July, which called for the creation of an informational system for booking air, rail, and bus tickets up to six months in advance. Originally planned for launch by December 2024, the Unified National Tourism Platform will now revolutionize the way tourists plan and book their trips to Uzbekistan.
