Uzbekistan Secures Semifinal Spot with Victory over UAE
The AFC U-17 Asian Cup quarterfinals saw Uzbekistan dominate the United Arab Emirates with a 3-1 victory, securing their spot in the semifinals. Led by head coach Islom Ismoilov, the Uzbek team displayed a strong performance, with standout player Asilbek Aliev scoring twice and Sayfiddin Sodiqov adding a third goal from a penalty kick.
Aliev’s goals in the 14th and 36th minutes set Uzbekistan on the path to victory, while Sodiqov’s penalty just before halftime solidified their lead at 3-0. Despite a free kick goal by UAE’s Buti in the 67th minute, Uzbekistan maintained control of the match and advanced to the next round.
