Uzbekistan Sees Surge in Twin Births with Over 3,000 Recorded in Early 2025
The National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan has recently shared data on birth trends in the country for the first two months of 2025. The figures show that a total of 135,914 live births were officially recorded by the Civil Registry Offices in January and February.
The majority of these births, specifically 132,669, were single births, making up the highest portion of registrations. However, the data also shines a light on the occurrence of multiple births during this period. There were 3,150 instances of twins and 95 cases of triplets or higher-order births documented, showcasing the diversity of birth experiences in Uzbekistan.
