Uzbekistan Statistics Agency Identifies Top Countries with Foreign-Owned Enterprises
The latest data from the Statistics Agency in Uzbekistan reveals that as of February 1, 2024, there are a total of 14,199 enterprises and organizations with foreign capital operating in the country. Among these, 4,675 are joint ventures while 9,524 are foreign enterprises.
Leading the pack in terms of the number of enterprises with foreign capital in Uzbekistan are the following countries:
– Russia with 3,049 enterprises
– China with 2,432 enterprises
– Turkey with 1,901 enterprises
– Kazakhstan with 1,084 enterprises
– South Korea with 736 enterprises
– USA with 314 enterprises
– Tajikistan with 289 enterprises
– Kyrgyz Republic with 276 enterprises
– Azerbaijan with 235 enterprises
– Germany with 220 enterprises
– Turkmenistan with 182 enterprises
These figures highlight the significant presence of foreign investment in Uzbekistan, contributing to the country’s economic growth and development.
