Uzbekistan is considering the possibility of establishing a General Consulate in Canada by the end of 2025 as part of its efforts to strengthen ties with countries in the Americas. The move is a strategic initiative outlined in the draft State Program for 2025, which aims to enhance cooperation with key nations such as Brazil and other countries in the region. The goal is to integrate Uzbekistan into global production and supply chains while fostering stronger international partnerships.

1. Strengthened ties with Canada, Brazil, and Argentina: Uzbekistan plans to attract companies from these countries to collaborate on joint projects and facilitate economic events.
2. Enhanced collaboration with Cuba: The focus will be on expanding partnerships in healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
3. Political consultations: Additional rounds of dialogue with Canada, Brazil, and Cuba are scheduled to promote mutual understanding and cooperation.
In addition to these specific initiatives, the program also highlights Uzbekistan’s broader international agenda. This includes expediting negotiations with the European Union to finalize an Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA).
