Uzbekistan’s Foreign Trade Turnover Reaches $10.8 Billion in January and February 2025
Preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan reveals that the country’s foreign trade turnover totaled $10.8 billion in the first two months of 2025. This figure represents a significant increase of $973.3 million, or 9.9%, compared to the same period last year.
During this time, Uzbekistan exported goods and services worth $4.6 billion, while imports totaled $6.2 billion. As a result, the country experienced a negative trade balance of $1.6 billion.
The growth in foreign trade turnover is a positive sign for Uzbekistan’s economy, indicating increased economic activity and international trade. The government will likely continue to focus on promoting exports and reducing the trade deficit in the coming months to further strengthen the country’s economic stability.
